EyeSpecialist.ai is an AI-assisted clinical decision support tool designed to help eye health professionals in the UK (e.g., optometrists, ophthalmologists, and other relevant practitioners) consider ocular pathologies, differential diagnoses, and referral protocols.Not a Medical Device:
The Platform is not certified or regulated as a medical device by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) or any other regulatory authority. It should not be used as a standalone diagnostic or treatment tool.Professional Discretion:
All final decisions regarding interpretation of outputs, patient management, or treatment lie solely with the registered/qualified health professional using the Platform. EyeSpecialist.ai’s AI outputs do not constitute medical advice.
3. User Eligibility & Responsibilities
Professional Use Only:
EyeSpecialist.ai is intended solely for use by qualified eye health professionals legally permitted to practice in the UK. By using the Platform, you confirm you hold the necessary licenses, certifications, and/or registrations.Regulatory Compliance:
You agree to comply with all applicable UK laws, regulations, and professional standards governing eye health practice, including but not limited to guidance from the General Optical Council (GOC) or General Medical Council (GMC), as applicable.Prohibited Conduct:
Unlawful Activity: You shall not use the Platform for any unlawful, fraudulent, or malicious purposes.
Patient Identifiable Data: You agree not to input or store personally identifiable information about your patients (including but not limited to names, addresses, NHS numbers) on the Platform.
Integrity & Security: You shall not interfere with or disrupt the Platform’s systems, transmit any malicious code, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service.
4. Intellectual Property Rights
Ownership:
All intellectual property rights in and to EyeSpecialist.ai (including any software, trademarks, logos, or code) are owned by or licensed to the operators of EyeSpecialist.ai.License to Use:
Subject to your adherence to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to use EyeSpecialist.ai for your professional purposes. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written permission.User Content:
By submitting notes, prompts, or other content (“User Content”) to the Platform, you grant EyeSpecialist.ai a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, use, and process your submissions solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service.
